Cathedral of the Madeleine
The Cathedral of the Madeleine in Salt Lake City provided WCC members with a chance to photograph the interior of the Cathedral under primarily natural light during the morning of March 24, 2011. The cloudy conditions on the outside may have been beneficial for those seeking lower contrast (and less challenging) circumstances for capturing a combination of dramatic details in the stain glass and interior walls and ceilings. Members were able to explore a variety of angles, vantage points, and lens perspectives to capture the mood and spiritual environment of the sanctuary. The club greatly appreciates the opportunity provided by the Cathedral to bring in a fairly large group (18 photographers) within their space.
