Exceptional PhotoOp 18 Presenters Announced

We are very pleased about this year’s PhotoOp presenters. Both are nationally recognized outdoor photographers who have great experience in landscape photography. Beyond capturing great images both are dedicated to fine art photography and present their work in galleries.

Our first presenter will be Brenda Tharp. Her work has been published in Sunset magazine, Audubon, Sierra Club Magazine, Publications of the National Park Service, and Michelin Travel Publications.

An acclaimed workshop instructor, Brenda has taught photography since 1985, through her own programs, and for such groups as Maine Media, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, Pacific Northwest School of Arts, MISA. She also leads photo tours to international destinations.

Elizabeth Carmel is our second presenter. She is a columnist for Outdoor Photography magazine and one of 12 photographers in the world to be named as a Hasselblad Master. She makes her own large, fine art prints some of which have appeared in the Smithsonian in Washington D.C., The California Museum of Photography, and the Nevada Museum Of Art. She also has her own galleries Truckee and Calistoga, California.

Elizabeth published a book of her photography titled “Brilliant Waters, Portraits of Lake Tahoe, Yosemite and the High Sierra” with a foreword by Robert Redford. Elizabeth’s work has been featured in many magazines and books.

PhotoOp 18 is open to everyone, but registration is required as seating may be limited. You can register on the Wasatch Camera Club’s website. There is a small charge to cover expenses.

Special thanks to our new sponsor Acme Camera.
