The Paris That Awoke to Atget’s Lens

You don't have to love Paris or even know much about it to appreciate the 100 year-old photographs that Atget took. He documented the city at a time when it was undergoing big changes: shaking off the faded veneer of 500 years of medieval building while ushering in the 20th century. If you get a chance, go to a library or otherwise find a copy of one of his books and see Paris as it was. Though, according to this NY Times article, one can find the old Paris if you know where and how to look for it.
