An Architectural Photography Tour of SLC
The workshop will begin at the Salt Lake Public Library with a brief twenty minute
overview on shooting architecture. It will include:
1. Why shoot architecture?
2. Where to market architectural photography.
3. Learn to shoot architecture for different applications
a. commercial
b. artistic
c. portfolio
3. Learn what lens to use when
4. What equipment is required for different applications
5. Lighting and angles will be explored.
6. What to look for in shooting a building and its setting.
After the tutorial, weʼll tour several architectural sites within a short distance of and
including the Salt Lake Public Library where we will have the opportunity to photograph
various building types. This is an opportunity to document manʼs landscape and
discover that it can be just as challenging and interesting as natureʼs own.
