Wasatch Camera Club now on Facebook

An easy way to follow goings-on with the Wasatch Camera Club is via our new Facebook Page. Facebook is the de facto real-time, social networking service and is used by millions of individuals and businesses. If you are on Facebook already, "like" our new page. If you have been considering joining, this just might be the reason!


Club Shirts Now Available for Pre-Ordering

As part of the club's new branding effort golf shirts with the club's new logo are now available. These are Nike® brand shirts made of a fabric designed to wick perspiration away while you're sweating out your best photograph or cruising your favorite camera shop. Sizes run from small to 3XLs in mens and womens sizes. You can have any color you like as long as it's black.

New Galleries Section

We've added a new Galleries section that can be accessed under the like-named menu item. Currently, we have added a gallery for the Composition lecture and critiquing that is scheduled for this evening, 24-June. Check out the gallery and let us know what you think!

Composition: The Essential Photographic Discipline

This coming Thursday -- 24- June -- the Wasatch Camera Club will be presenting "Composition - the Essential Discipline."  Joining us will be Lewis J. Crawford, Associate Professor from the University of Utah, who earned a MFA in photography from the University of Utah and in 2005, earned a BFA in photography from Arizona State University. 

Resurrection: A Glen Canyon Institute Presentation and Film

Glen Canyon is slowly reappearing after 50 years underwater. Tonight (June 17, 7-9 pm) the Glen Canyon Institute is presenting that story via presentation and film at the SLC Library, Conference Room B.

Weather Worries Postpone Workshop

The Architechtural Photography Tour of SLC has been cancelled for tonight (16-June), due to high probablity of thunder/lightning storms accompanied by wind gusts. We will reschedule and update the workshop schedule soon.
